About My Income-Based Sliding Scale Rates
I am committed to providing therapy at an equitable rate, which is why I provide therapy on sliding scale. Clients who are able to afford to pay at or near the full market rate make it possible for me to also take reduced rates for low-income clients who would otherwise be unable to afford therapy (see below).
My sliding scale is income based and ranges broadly from $62 to the full market rate of $300, with a commitment to not accepting fees over a percentage of a client’s household income. While the upper range represents the standard costs for therapy (particularly for high cost of living areas like New York City), I recognize that higher rates are inaccessible to most middle and lower-income individuals and households.
I seek to balance affordability and a sustainable practice by seeking a mix of lower- and middle-income clients. As such, I reserve 50 - 60% of my sessions for lower income individuals making from $40,000 to $70,000 per year and paying from $62 to $108 per weekly session. The next 30 - 50% percent of sessions are reserved for middle incomes of $70,000 to $100,000 at $128 to $192 a session. No more than 10% of sessions are available to higher income individuals making more than $100,000 a year, with sessions costing $240 to $300.
When more clients are seen at the upper end of the scale it can allow me to see additional clients below the sliding scale for less than $60.

Pay-What-You-Can
I believe strongly in access to gender-affirming healthcare is medically necessary and essential care. In support of access to this life changing healthcare, I provide letters to those seeking gender-affirming care on a pay-what-you-can basis. I suggest paying anywhere from $20 to $300, but you may choose to pay more or less based on your ability to pay.
Below Scale Rates
Not currently accepting new reduced rate clients
When I have more clients paying fees near the top of the sliding scale it allows me to see clients who’s income falls below the above scale at rates under $60 per session. Availability for there lower rate sessions will be announced as they become available.
Please note, sliding scale and reduced rates are intended to help people more equitably access therapy. These rates are not “discounted” therapy. A reduced rate can still be challenging to fit into one’s budget. Therapy like other forms of caring labor offers a valuable service in supporting people’s health, well-being and development.
